Nick Nelson

Nick Nelson is a senior lecturer at Massey University’s Centre for Defence and Security Studies. He teaches and supervises research in a diverse range of subject areas including terrorism, insurgency and transnational crime; and leadership and management. His main research interests are in cyber psychology, the psychology of terrorism and insurgency, and adaptive decision-making.

Nick has extensive experience in both the security sector and academia, and holds postgraduate qualifications from both Massey University and the University of Canberra. He is currently a member of the International Association of Applied Psychologists, the Council for Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific, and the Council for Asian Transnational Threat Research.
