Carl Bradley

Dr Carl Bradley held a PhD from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Newcastle, Australia. He has also completed a BA (History) and MA (Defence and Strategic Studies) at Massey University. He had over 10 years’ teaching experience at Massey, and had a background in leadership and management in the private sector. His research interests included military history, war studies, comparative studies, leadership, warrior society and liminality, the Iron Age, Māori and indigenous warfare and response to military imperialism. His most recent projects includes research into contemporary expressions of warrior societies such as gangs and the Defence Force.
