In the temple reviewed in North & South

The latest collaboration between artist Catherine Bagnall and poet Jane Sayle, in the temple, has been reviewed in North & South:

‘Like their 2021 collaboration On We Go, this slim collection, printed on thick, creamy paper, alternates between whimsical watercolour pantings and wistful nature poetry, to endearing effect. Bagnall’s bruised and swelling sketches, of trees and antlered children, affirm Sayle’s wandering eye, which draws the earth, the clouds, the wind and water — these poems are reaching toward an experience of the natural sublime. Sure to land well with Gaia hypothesis advocates, wicker man cultists, Glastonbury attendees and other nature lovers of pre-millennial stripe.’
